Why is everything in English if this is a Romanian chapter?

English is a language understood by most people. Since the point of the chapter is to also reach out to other fans from other countries and meet up with them, having everything in English is easier for everyone. You can, of course, use Romanian when commenting on the page, but we’d like to keep the news and info in English just for the sake of a broader audience.

What exactly is a ‘local chapter’ and how is it official?

A chapter is basically a fanclub officially affiliated with MetClub, Metallica’s official fan club. This means that it was founded by MetClub members from Romania, and is recognized by Metallica. We are listed on Metallica.com. This way we can post news on Metallica.com on behalf of the chapter, meet other chapters from other countries, etc…

Long story short: We’re a community for Metallica fans from Romania, and we’re officially recognized by Metallica and MetClub.

How can I join RoLoad?

Well, liking the Facebook page and visiting our site is enough. However, if you want to be part of MetClub, then sign up for MetClub and then email us or send us a message with your MetClub ID, and then you will be officially included in the MetClub database (which gets updated yearly).

Who runs RoLoad?

RoLoad was founded in 2010 after a bunch of Romanian MetClub members met up at the meet & greet for Metallica’s Sonisphere show. It is currently ran and maintained by Sorin Toader, Alex Nita, Adi Dumitriu and Alex Sava.
